warehouse/stock managment

i find that OSC is very rich on the user side, while is not considering important features on the operations side.

 

right now the only way i have to see if a product is available or not in my stock is to enter manually the quantity value in the calalogue.

 

my operation is getting a bit more complicated now.

sometime i get the same product from different suppliers, in case it's food, same product will have different expiring date... different people is working in my warehouse: for safety reason i'd need to know exactly when a certain product came in and when did it leave my stock.

 

i am not expert about this, but i guess i'd need to create an incoming order each time i get a supply, defining the product ID, the supplier, buying cost, expiring date, quantity.

 

maybe all this is too complicated to be handle by OSC only. maybe i should use a warehouse managment system, to intergrate with OSC catalogue table?

 

please help if you have any idea, maybe we can do something together.
