big2000dave
Currently, my domain provides and installes oscommerce 2.2.2 which makes it such a breeze to setup. My domain looks like this when a default install of osc is done (www.myplace.com/oscommerce/<all osc folders n files>) This is great for testing and building, but when im ready to go live, what do I do? How can i set my osc install up to show the catalog on (wwww.myplace.com)?

From Fantastico: Leave empty to install in the root directory of the domain (access example: http://domain/). If you want to install it to the default catalog, which is recommended because most of the scripts are written for that, then in /home/username/public_html/.htaccess . DirectoryIndex catalog/index.php BACKUP your current files before editing. Did I mention to BACKUP your current files, first? "I'm not a hero, I'm a firefighter; it is my job to save lives. I'm a Jesus Christ Firefighter saving souls from the flames!"
