snapshot from before create account page

I've noticed that in my store whenever I go to a page that requires a login and I login then I will be taken back to the appropriate page that I was trying to access in the first place.

 

Now, If I go to access something like members_only.php?id=5 and it boots me to login.php and then I create an account, it is like the snapshot is gone. When I create an account and login then it takes me to index.php rather than the original snapshot members_only.php?id=5

 

Any help with how to make it so that when someone creates an account it will take them to the appropriate snap shot?
