Below is my problem and the solution recommended by another member. I tried the solution but the problem still occurs and some new problems cropped up. I have restored shopping_cart.php and am back to square one. Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks again,

Debbie

QUOTE(djms @ Aug 12 2006, 10:09 AM)

Until recently, my site was working perfectly. Then a few weeks ago, I noticed that those cartoon icons returned to the top of the pages. I once again commented them out so they would not appear.

I didn't notice anything else until earlier this week. Some things I had previously removed (such as Reviews) reappeared, the contributions I had installed (xsell, must select, prev_next) had disappeared, and most aggravating my "Add to Cart" button leads to a blank page instead of re-directing to the same category overview screen as it used to do. I'm sure this has a simple fix but it's been about a year since I completed my cart and frankly, I'm a little lost.

Can somebody please direct me on how to fix the "add to cart" problem? In case I didn't explain it fully, you view the problem at www.moonglowjewelry.com. Just try adding any product to the cart. While I appreciate all help offered, please be very specific with your instructions. My limited knowledge of coding has been gathering dust for about a year now. :-)

Thanks in advance,

Debbie

BACKUP your shopping_cart.php then upload a fresh version of it. Did I mention to BACKUP your current shopping_cart.php?

Hi Debbie-

I probably shouldn't comment since I don't actually know the answer to your problem.

Try searching on this forum for shared server problems. You may be on a shared server with another website using osCommerce and there may be conflicts. It seems to me that others have had goofy problems like this and it turned out to be a server problem.

If this ends up fixing your problem, then I would like to know.

Danny

If I'm giving advice, it is based on what path I would take to fix your problem. My path may be wrong.

Thanks Danny,

I'm pretty sure the problem stemmed from my site provider having to reload something or having server problems. I'm managed to get the other two contributions up and running. I'm just down to this one problem.

There is some code somewhere that says "when you push the Add to Cart button, this, this, and this will happen." Granted it's not going to be that clear since it's in code, but I KNOW it's out there. If anyone can direct me to where this might be found, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Please view my website at www.moonglowjewelry.com and try to add any item to the cart. You will see that although it does add it to the cart, you are taken to a blank screen instead of either to the cart or preferably back to the category you were in when you purchased. For instance, if you were in the Earrings category and purchased a pair of earrings, once you hit Add to Cart, I'd like you to be redirected to the Earrings page. If you were in Weddings, I'd like it to redirect back to the Weddings page.

Anyone?

Thanks so much,

Debbie

Hi all,

I still have the above problem but it's worsening. Now "add to cart" button still leads to a blank page but where it used to put it in the cart anyway and start a session, it will now only put it in the cart if there is already a session in progress (ie. you're logged in).

Is anybody willing to look at this with me? I will PM you any areas of coding you need to see. I've GOT to get this fixed and I don't have a clue where to start!

Thanks in advance,

Debbie
