However I am confused by the lack of input fields for the dimensions of products (lengthxwidthxheight) Is oscommerce suppose to have a spot to enter this information!? any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jack_mcs Posted August 12, 2006 Share Posted August 12, 2006 It depends on the module but most don't require it. USPS has an option for the gneral size I think but the others don't. There is a large package shipping module, as I recall, that may be what you need (if that is your problem). You probably should just look through all of the shipping modules. There are a bunch of them so one will probably do waht you want. If not, then the code in the module you are using would have to be changed to accept the sizes. I think he wants to use the Canada Post module and the instructions in the install.txt seem pretty clear to me: 3. Do the Shopping Cart Edits listed below 3. Go to your admin package -> Modules -> Shipping, activate new CanadaPost module. 4. Make sure you have set your stores origin Postal Code and Country properly in admin package -> Configurations -> My Store -> Shipping/Packaging 5. Test, test, test. 6. Admin edits - to add the LxWxH and ready_to_ships options to the admin side copy over the files if you want do a compare with your origanal files and add the edits to your file. The contribution I'm referring to is the Canada Post Shipping Module with dimensions, specifically the last (top) upload of crshNbrn dated October 23, 2004.
