modify cart , order, packingslip info

My standard install shows

"remove", "products", "quantity", and "total" as columns in the cart window

"products" and "model" as columns in the packing slip

"products", "model", "tax" and various "pricing" info as columns in the order form

 

I'd like to make sure that "manufacturer", "model" and the "stock quantity" are shown in all of these.

Questions:

1) can these be added to each of these pages as new columns? (this is ideal!)

2) if #1 is too difficult, could they be appended to the product description? (not as usable, but helpful)
