New feature question: Did this order come from affiliate?

I'd like to know when an order comes in if its from an affiliate link. My default setup doesn't seem to tell me. I can think of two ways to do this:

1) have the osc-affiliate SW send me an email

2) have the order show which affiliate it is from

 

Has anyone written a contrib for either? If not, I'm assuming these would be relatively easy to do but would like to hear the collective wisdom on the idea...
