4 Questions from a newbie

Hi I'm new to oscommerce. installed, edited some and excited now to do something...

A few questions ( I 've searched for answers on forum but really its very hard to find with keywords..)

 

1- The catagory listings are so ordinary and getting mixed. I need to put lines between them or

change colour or any other separation solution is acceptable. ( there is info about that on documentation

but could solve.. )

 

2- I won't sell anything online. Is there an easy way to remove all price matters from products...

 

3- I need to edit the category pages. I mean, before getting in the product_info page, when the use

clicks to the categories, I want to introduce the products belongs to this category. Which file

I should edit ?

 

4- I need to add an animation next to the logo. Where to add that ?

Yes, it is. However, I've found that I can often find what I need when using the format of

 

word1 +word2 +word3

Requires special coding in the file that is located at

catalog/includes/boxes/categories.php

 

(Be sure to make a backup copy BEFORE messing with this file!)

Go to http://www.YOURSITENAME.com/admin/categories.php

Follow the instructions there (Add, Rename Categories, etc.)

catalog/includes/header.php, but BACK UP before making a change to this file.

You are welcome. Have I mentioned backing up your files BEFORE making a change? That way if things go wrong, all you will have to do is copy over the bad files with your good backups.

the above poster is not correct, you can add a categories description contribution and it will affect index.php, that is the page being called before product_info.php
