Can't connect to authorize.net

We have a site that is unable to complete a credit card order. It makes it to the last part of the procedure, then fails with the error

 

"The server cannot connect to Authorize.net. Please check your cURL and

server settings."

 

We're not sure what the problem might be. Any help from those here will be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if you've fixed this yet, but...

 

I encountered the same problem this morning on my site. In talking with my webhost, we found that my Modules>Payment>Authorize.net settings had the cURL set to "Not Compiled." Upon changing it to "Compiled," all payments processed correctly.

Same issue here, no solution.....I have tried compiled and not compiled, nothing (been using COMPILED setting for a year with no issues)
