Hello. My current web service provider has OS Commerce module installed for its users to install and use. I have aready installed the module. I can now make changes using the admin module and tools. However, I don't see a database installed, and I can not make changes to the index.php page. When I go into edit, it will not let me alter any of the code.

Have I not made a full installation? Do I need to follow the quick install instructions listed on this site? Do I need to uninstall and start over? Please advise, when one gets a chance.

look at catalog/admin/includes/configure.php

around line 38

this should show the database info if it is there.

make sure the permissions on the index.php file are set to 777
