Seperate price per customer not working in checkout

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I installed the seperate price per customer module ages and ages ago (maybe 12months) to have a sperate set of prices for wholesale customers. Only I had not need to use it up until now and I discover it doesn't carry through to the checkout.

Cust will see all the correct princing for the wholesale group, although when they get to the checkout and try to pay it comes up as regular prices.

I had tried searching this forum for an answer, but havent turned anything up

(could be my search techniques, I find it very difficult to find things on this forum)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Fiona

Looks like you missed something when installing. I would check the classes shopping_cart.php and order.php first.

Well there are some tricks for that if you read the instructions (advanced search I think the link is called) but you don't help by starting your own thread when there is a support thread for SPPC.

Thanks. Will go and check. I don't know enough about PHP and coding to know where to start looking, so thanks.

Yes I read the instructions... I just don't find the invision power boards search engine to be all that good. But that is my opinion and from what I am used to.

And yes I also see the SPPC thread. It is about 131 pages long and although I did find a couple of posts in there with this problem I couldn't find an answer as the following posts were about something completly different.

Perhaps there is also someone else who is having the same problem as me and is also in a similar situation where they don't have 4 spare hours to read through 131 pages to find what they are looking for. I use Oscommerce as a tool for an online store. I do not code and don't have the time to learn about every aspect of PHP and the ins and outs of how Oscommerce code works. Perhaps there is another support forum for general support not relating to improving code aimed at those of us who just use oscommerce for online stores...?

Perhaps if there is some sort of unspoken rule about not creating a thread relating to a contribution when there is ONE all inclusive support thread that should be stated somewhere...

You can search in a thread (box on the bottom, left) so when everybody uses the thread at least you have only the posts dealing with that contribution to wade through.

Actually, I can't remember anyone having had that problem before.

If you use a shop without having added contributions you can say that. But once you start changing the code by adding contributions, especially a large one like SPPC, those arguments do not hold in my opinion.

When I start taking apart a diesel engine and I can't put it back together I cannot honestly claim "I'm only using it, I don't have the time to learn about this and why is it not working?"

If you read the pinned post on this subforum, for example the last two posts: post 30 and 31 then you could have come to that conclusion.

You could use a compare & merge program (something like kidff3 for example) and compare your files against the files that came with the contribution. Then you can see the difference (e.g. missing code) a lot easier.
