Hyperlink to file & insert image

Hi,

 

I am wanting to perform a link from a piece of text in the main body on my home page to a text file.

 

The text I want to highlight as a link is 'glassmaking technique', and want to link it to a file called 'technique.php'.

 

What code do I use in the index.php file I presume?

 

Also if I want to insert an image underneath some text, what coding would I use so the image shows.
