product customisation by a customer

Hello all,

 

i was wondering if anyone would be able to help me, or point me in the right direction on where to find some help from.

 

I'm in the middle of setting up my first osCommerce store (what a great piece of software), and would like to enable my cutomers to 'customise' their order.

A specific example is that i will be (hopefully) selling homemade greeting cards, in which i would like to offer the ability for the client to add the greeting text within the card.

If they wish to add text/greetings, then for this to be shown in the shopping cart, and somekind of additonal charges to be applied to the order.

 

As a complete newbie to osC,and to php in general, i was hoping that there would be a nice mod somewhere that could help me, but i've searched for various keywords (customise, customize...etc) but to no avail.

 

I'm willing to learn how to do this on my own, but would be grateful for any info on how i would being to start this!!
