Guest
I have been brought in to update some of the website for surface 2 air sports. I am new to using OsCommerce, and I am having trouble in finding where to go to update the title bar at the top of the page: http://www.s2as.com/catalog/ I want to change it to the animated .gif bar used at the top of the store's main page, www.s2as.com I would just save the new image under the same title as the old one and upload it through ftp, but as I am replacing a jpeg with a gif I will need to find where to update the link within the oscommerce admin centre. Any ideas on where to look please? Thanks

Guest
catalog/includes/header.php I'm sorry... I'm still not following - that link comes up with a page of code that I dont really understand! Is there nowhere that I can just tell it to upload a new picture to be the header bar? Thanks
K0rd3rbackStyl3
go to the header.php oscommerce uses php... you need to know how to edit php to edit the settings... open header.php like he says, look for the name of the jpg that is currently the header. change it to the name you want it be. upload your new picture in the images directory or wherever you direct it. Cheers, I'm following you with that.... the only problem I have is that when I load the head.php page its telling me that the file is read only and to set my user permissions to be able to edit it. Any idea where I go to set the permissions? thanks
K0rd3rbackStyl3
easiest way for me is use ftp... try flashfxp, trial version.. right click go down to chmod, set it to what you need it to be..
