Link to add an item to the osCommerce shopping cart from outside of the cart

I am wondering if this is possible with osCommerce. What I have is basically an image that has all these things embeded in it that I want people to be able to buy. So what I need is a link that can add an item to the osCommerce shopping cart from outside of the shopping cart and return them to the same page they started on. Essentially I want the to be able to add items (through these links) to their cart from this image mapped picture, then click a buttom that say go to cart and they can proceed with the checkout. If this is possible please let me know, I've been trying to figure it out for a week or so now and I think I must be looking in the wrong places.
