Strange Problem: deleted all products in Admin, but still shows 2 prices in homepage

I manually deleted all products in categories in admin area, then went to homepage and found nothing in the categories which was good, but in the "What's New" frame and "New Products For August" section, I found $10 and $1 there. I don't know how to remove them. pls help me out, thanks.

I don't know why there are $10 and $1 respectively in the "New Products for August" section, looks like two different products, but actually nothing, just two dollar symbols, very strange, I even deleted all products, but the two dollar symbols are still there. Pls help!

for others with similar problems, what I did was download a current backup and compare entries in the product description table to those in products table. In fact, there were 2 orphan rows that I only found in products, those created the new products issue. We deleted those 2 rows and presto! All done :-)
