Guest
Hi all, going live in about a week or so, but need some constructive critism. All comments welcome, Things still required (1) Add SSL (2) Product Info page needs images applied (3) Finish off last few changes to layout on end pages. Username and password of test account: root@localhost password abc123 http://www.almatcomputers.co.uk/index.php What I require, is the website uses a resolution screen direct X=1 for 1024x768 and X=2 for 800x600 can someone confirm if the index.php has a different look under netscape and mozilla etc.
tastar
Three screen captures on a Mac, OS 10.4.6 with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768: Firefox 1.5.0.6 Safari: IE 5.02 (latest mac version): The width of the right column is determined by the width of its widest element, I believe. barney12
Nice work! Loads a little slow my end (1mb ADSL in the UK) I really like the look of your site. Have you used a template or is it your own work? Any contributions used? Barney
shiftlocked
nice and fast here, really like what youve done with the box headers on the pages, very nice innovative touch. Things still to do before going "live" in no real order... Change "buy now buttons" css styles Change "lets see what we have here" into something meaningfull Main logo of the website Sort out currency to make site UK only (at present) Remove "xx requests since" stuff Update mainpage :D Move shopping cart status into header Add in stock status to product listing page Define styles for product listing standardisation Change CSS background for Headings Increase Category size headings Used mods so far:- basic_design_pack1mk7 | Google XML sitemap w admin | Paypal IPN v 1.2 | Feedmachine | pricematch_1_3_1 | Dynamic Sitemap 1.6 | Whos online Enhancement | Easypopulate 2.72 Each one that I solve I;ll be putting a post on the forum in a "completed shop" thread that Im writing up
tastar
I would guess that it is the length of your email and password fields that is causing the problem. But, I think that you also need to account for people magnifying the pages as well. I did a similar thing on my site and did it so that it would hold up at 1 magnification increase (ctrl + on a PC, I think). Mine breaks badly at +2, though. I've attached images of your site at +1 and +2 magnification (from Firefox on a Mac). Tony
Guest
OK think I found the problem my infobox_contents array had a bad command, done a few changes. Hopefully thi will work now on +1 or +2 magnification. Can you check please. Your time is very much appreciated. Stuart

Hopefully thi will work now on +1 or +2 magnification. Can you check please. Your time is very much appreciated. Stuart on shopping_cart.php I lose most box borders. I hate that status bar cart info feature as it flickers a lot. Nice template really nice headers but other than that, stock under the hood? tastar
All of the above problems have disappeared in Firefox, Safari and IE on a Mac. Looks great! Tony
choosealogin
I think the clean, simple footer is great. The counter and date are ruining it for me, though. I think you could get rid of those. Good job on the header, as the others said.
Guest
Still heavily under construction, like the others said above the last few files on catalog/ need the changes applied then I will hit the catalog/includes folder. The footer will be removed but for osc forums the copyright will stay in place, to keep the database queries down the counter and dates etc will removed and footer revamped. Does the product tabs in product_info.php work on all versions of browser and any comments on the screen resolution redirect, the homepage should b different for all types of browser and screen resolution types. khime
IMO change the favicon from the smiley aciid thing to something more serious. It just makes the site look like its for kids
Guest
I thought my favicon.ico was a green shield not an aciid smiley face, will check on this.
