ddp
Hi all I have recently moved a shop to a new server. I copied all the files and set up a database from a backup. The front end of the site is visable and seems to be fuctioning. However when I log into the admin folder all I get is a blank screen. Here are some details from my config files: includes/admin/configure.php: define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.mysite.com'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://www.mysite.com'); define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', ''); define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false'); // secure webserver for catalog module define('DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT', '/home/xxxxxxxxx/www/'); // where your pages are located on the server. if $DOCUMENT_ROOT doesnt suit you, replace with your local path. (eg, /usr/local/apache/htdocs) define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/shop/admin/'); define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', DIR_FS_DOCUMENT_ROOT . DIR_WS_ADMIN); define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/shop/'); includes/configure.php define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://www.mysite.com/'); // eg, http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://www.mysite.com'); // eg, https://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers define('ENABLE_SSL', false); // secure webserver for checkout procedure? define('HTTP_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '.www.mysite.com'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_DOMAIN', '.www.mysite.com'); define('HTTP_COOKIE_PATH', '/shop/'); define('HTTPS_COOKIE_PATH', '/shop/'); define('DIR_WS_HTTP_CATALOG', '/shop/'); define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/shop/'); I have double checked that the new settings for the database are correct in the new files. The new server is running php 5.1.1 Any help would be appriciated. Thanks Backup before making changes. Backup before making changes! Backup before making changes!! You did do a backup? eh? ddp
Ok I have run some more tests and added this to my .htaccess: php_flag register_globals on php_flag register_long_arrays on That did fix up some things that were not working on the front end but no admin area is visable. I tried doing a fresh install of oscommerce but it got hung up at step # 2. This also points to a problem with connecting to the server. I checked with my server and they said the user and database seemed to be set up correctly. Another peculiar thing is that when restoring a database for the store the most recent one does not work. It spits out a bunch of errors that seem to be about the Ultimate SEO's contribution. When I restore from an earlier backup it seems to work. But again no admin access. I have been reading up in the forums on this but have not found anything that will solve my problem. Is Oscommerce compatable with PHP 5.1.1? Other settings to check? Thanks for any suggestions.
