Comments and sugestions needed - Adult Site

Hi there, you ready?

1 - category product counts - turn that off. You don't want your customers to NOT visit a category cause they see there is only a few items. You want to seem established and well stock, even if you are not.

2 - footer: number of visitors since = delete, same reason as above, you want to seem established and visitors really don't care how many have come before them.

3 - After 4 mins, your main page still hasn't loaded the pics and graphics. Yes, I'm on dialup, but most sites here load reasonably quick. Check your picture file sizes, install image magic or thunbnails on the fly or something.... even your logo and my account, checkout, etc images haven't loaded.

4 - Your main page, where you have the blurb about logging in or create a new account - you need keyword laiden blurb about your site. This is for SEO.... entice your customers, tell them why they should be shopping at YOUR adult store as compared to your competitors. Keywords!!!!

5 - MANY images haven't loaded (red x's) after your page finished loading, especially your logo and such. I have tried this in AOL, Firefox, and IE. Yours is the only site I have had trouble with tonight, so I doubt it's me.

6 - I, personally, would refrain from using the comic sans font - it doesn't give a professional vibe. I know you want a fun, carefree atmosphere, but at the same time, you need something that is easy to read and shows you are a professional .....

7 - Lots of error 504 - Gateway timesouts. Not sure why.

8 - Bedroom Bunny product review - not sure how professional that one looks - absolutely no grammar skills.... .... not sure if it's a real review or not - either way, might be a good idea to fix it.

9 - I don't think you would want to show when such-n-such product was added to your catalog - I would comment out that link in the product description ....

10 - Just randomly chose a product: Bene-lux x12 .... Where's the product description ?????? ESPECIALLY with herbal stuffs and such you MUST Have information....especially that "this product hasn't been evaluated by the FDA (or UK equivalent), refer to your doctor, yadda yadda).

11 - I couldn't look any further - the site is just running abissmally slow...hardly any pics or graphics will load. And I have been opening sites right and left this evening (doing research) and yours is the only one I've been having problems with.

But that's a start ;-)

I looked at your site yesterday, but couldn't think of much to say about it. It's pretty stock looking, and it's very pink.

Here though, are a few thoughts that I've come up with after having a quick look around:

You use white text on a lilac background for the headings of your infoboxes, I could read it fine on my desktop screen, but it's a real effort on my laptop screen.

No terms and conditions, no about us, no privacy policy - bad for any kind of site, very bad for a site where people want to be sure that others don't know what they are buying.

On the front page, the huge line of text under the header image looks very tacky and amateurish, it is also only on certain pages of the site and not all of them. This messes up the icons on the far right into a vertical row on some pages, where on all other pages they are horizontal - this looks bad.

As above with footer, some pages have paypal verified logo and some don't - the footer should be consistent across all of the pages.

Product descriptions are too short!

Can you confirm that you cant see the privacy policy and that all pages arent the same as i have now gone to 5 different computers and can see them on all off them but am worried that my customers might not be able to see them. The product descriptions are a work in progress 1800 have good descriptions out of the 2800 thanks for your input.

You disable the product count in admin and the rest are in you fotter and productinfo files. Just an update I have moved host due to the number of complaints about server timeouts the site is now back up and running better if anyone would like to give ther opionn.

Thanks

Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory.
