redmaro42
Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory. That is what I get when I try to log into my account by going to gvperformance.com/admin How do I change the data so that I can start working on my store. I am a total newbie to this stuff. Do I have to do it in the file on my harddrive and then upload that file with through a ftp or how do I go about this? I am hosted through bluehost if that makes a difference. redmaro42
consider installing the register globals patchhttp://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2097 So I download that patch and then upload all the files using the FTP? Do I have to download them into a certain folder or not?
Guest
Normally you download a contribution and you follow the manual instructions because most contributions are done based on the plain osc. So you should get each file from your store (mentioned in the contribution's manual instructions) back it up, modify it and then re-upload it to the server. Use a regular editor to edit the php scripts. There were problems with the old versions of the osc file manager.
