FleshPuppet
Hello. I'm trying to figure out how to give a customer some free product downloads through my store. I would like to add an order to their account, free of charge, so they can login and pull up the order and download the items. Can this be done? Thanks. FleshPuppet
Sorry but, this is not what I was looking for. I don't want to create items in the store for $0.00/ I would like to be able to give a customer something that normally costs $9.99 for free so they can log into their account and download it. Mediajuggle
Then you need the Credit Class and GIft Vochers contribution... you can give a customer a code that will allow him to download something for free... i use this as well... FleshPuppet
the files on the page are very confusing when reading descriptions. the top one talks about it being a blank file. which download do i download to be able to install it?
FleshPuppet
seems way too compicated. I can't believe there's no simple way for me to give a customer a way to download product(s)/file(s) from my store without having to pay for them. Bummer. Guest
Try one of the orders editors, create an order for a customer and so the attribute will specify the download. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1435
matrix2223
Why not just add a link to the product in a email, password protect the download and give a password and user name for the download and call it a day.

That's fine if it's just one or two customers... but if this is something that's done regularly then that becomes a pain in the a*** My Contribution Music Download Store Template http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4275
