jkdbjj
Hi, I live in North Carolina. Within my county of Mecklenburg tax rate is 7.5% However outside of Mecklenburg tax is 7.0% During checkout what are my options to fix this, can anyone help or suggest a way so that residents (which will be alot of our sales) of Mecklenburg get charged 7.5 and those outside of the county get charged just the normal 7. Guest
Just create 2 different tax zones. Once for NC the other for the rest 51 states. Use the osc admin->Locations/Taxes->Tax Zones to create the 2 folders to cover these areas then for each folder click details add the states. Finally goto the tax rates and assign the percentages for the 2 zones.

I have to charge 2.9% for the state, UNLESS my customers are in the same county as me, then it is 4.9%. There are a lot of contributions that claim to be able to fix this, but I must be to dull to install them properly. Perhaps I missunderstand your answer, please clarify b/c if I can break it down by county in taxzones I would be most interested! Of course if they are out of state I am not required to charge any tax... Thanks
