Hi all,

 

I hope someone can help.

 

This shop previously had someone on a retainer to manage the online store web site. My employer has ended this agreement, and wants me to find out how to, then manage the site. I have no previous experience in doing so and have hit a problem straight away. I need to change the current Admin Password, and having looked at the forums I believe I need to enter something called cPanel to do so. However I cannot find this cPanel either in the links on the site front page, in the admin section or indeed anywhere else.

 

Does anyone know if I am trying to go about this in the right way, and if so, how do I find the cPanel and then what steps must I take to change the Admin Password to prevent unauthorised access to our online shop site?

 

No pressure on anyone but I have a sneaky feeling that my further employment depends on a swift solution :'(

i think you will find Cpanel is accessed through your web hosting provider.

unless you have your own webserver?

Thanks for that, now I'm having to laugh at myself, because this seems like its going to be a little more complicated than I thought.
