WiZeR Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Simple question, how can I cancel a customer's order and send a refund back through PayPal? Or do I have to just log into my paypal account and set the refund there?
madcrazygirl Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Go to your paypal account, go into the customers payment and there is a button at the bottom to refund. :D

mtechama Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 is there a way to cancel an order in OSC? yes Wade Morris Amarillo, Texas Before you do any changes on your site you need to do BACKUP! BACKUP!
SlamMan Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 yes I currently have a store with ProStores.com. When a customer makes a PayPal payment I have to go to PayPal to refund their payment. It can not be done on my site admin pages. If they pay with credit card (PayPal website payments Pro) or PayPal Express Checkout I can refund the payment directly from the site admin. I have no idea if this works different with osCommerce but it may be a PayPal thing. I'm sure someone who knows more will chime in.
WiZeR Posted August 4, 2006 Author Posted August 4, 2006 yes Well do you think you could possibly share with me how you do it please? Or someone?
knifeman Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Well do you think you could possibly share with me how you do it please? Or someone? You can update the order to anything status you want. There is a place in admin to add or edit the order status. I use pending, processing, shipped, and deleted. You can add one called 'canceled'. Since oscommerce does not take anyones money, you will have to refund payment through your paymnet processing site no matter which payment mod you are using. Tim
