Simple question, does it have a simple answer?

I have been messing with the configure.php file now for days. I still have a relatively simple problem but don't know where the setting is to fix it. Basically my problem is missing icon links in the catalog, if you click on the generic icon, it takes you to the wrong directory(ie icons should be in the includes/languages/english/images folder not the admin/includes/languages/english/images folder. If you manually type the correct url address, the image is there, however it doesn't show up on the correct page.

PS I changed the url for the generic icon so you don't get the admin login screen....

Make sure that you have not overwritten the includes/configure.php file with the admin/includes/configure.php file - they are different files.
