matrix2223 Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 I have just recieved a paypal confimation for an order but the customers oder doesnt show in admin. I have PWA Purchase with out account and I am wondering if this is may be the cuplret. I have called the customer and verified the order, he also said that he went all the way through checkout and he also created an full customer account. Does anyone know what may be wrong with this? Gil_e_n Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 Usually, this occurs when the customer doesn't click back to your site after finishing his paypal order. I'm not sure from what you said that this is the case, but if it is, the solution is to install Paypal IPN. Always BACK UP your files and your database before making any changes. matrix2223 Posted August 3, 2006 Author Share Posted August 3, 2006 Hey thanks, You are 100% correct. I noticed this after I had posted via the user tracking with admin. Im a bit sceptical about the paypal ipn module because of the problems users are having with it. Maybe later I am installing the master password contrib as we speak to help with this error. abra123cadabra Posted August 3, 2006 Share Posted August 3, 2006 I have installed the paypal IPN without any problems. Only thing that you need to watch out for is that the order is logged when the customer sees the order confirmation page just before he is redirected to paypal. You can seperate these orders from successful ones because the order history is empty. Once the customer is redirected successfully, the order history shows preparing paypal IPN (or whatever you set it to) and once the verification is done with paypal, the status is changed again (I called it verified paypal IPN).
