MikOn
Hi, I got my first Linux web site host set up today and I am trying to install OsCommerce on it without much success. I followed these steps: 1) used FTP to copy the catalog directory to my public_html directory, using ASCII transfer for all the text files. 2) used CHMOD to change the permissions of configure.php in catalog/includes and catalog/admin/includes to 777 3) created mySQL database with phpAdmin 4) tried install - but got Register_globals error 5) copied Register_globals fix files 6) tried install again, chose New Install, left Import catalog database and automatic configuration ticked, clicked Continue.....and nothing happens! Can anyone help? I apologise in advance, but I am a complete novice.

MikOn
Yesterday I did not know any php, today I have fixed my own problem. I have written a script that sorted me out and I have uploaded it as a contribution to this site. It is called "Install with register_long_arrays set to OFF" under the Other category. But thanks for the reply anyway.
