Clear Down DataBase

Hello Forum,

I have a fully configured site which has plenty of contributions. I would like to use this as template for my next project rather than a virgin OSCOMMERCE download (don't fancy installing all those contributions again!) I had a go at writing a sql script which cleared out my database and left it nice and fresh but it did not work. Does anyone else have one that might work?

Thank you very much.

David

I doing the exact same thing right now. I have not tackled the mysql issue yet but in theory you should be able to use mysql admin or phpmyadmin or mysql client to dump, backup, whatever to *.sql file. Then when you start a new project just create the database, and import your sql file in.

Do you want to compare notes on the contribuitons your using? I want to get all the functionality I can before I bundle my osc template install up.

I've installed:

Contact_Us_ver1

FedEx_Direct_2.04

Generic Buttons

Paypal_IPN

Remove Default Images

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Tim

Hi Tim,

I have forgotten a lot of the little tweaks I made which is why I am desperate not to start again but here are the ones I have made a note of!

- I used the metatags one cDynamic_Meta_Tags v1.4.zip

- I want to use the Ultimate_SEO_URLS but i have not done that one yet.

- reviews_in_product_info_v1.zip which creates a more Amazon style review system

- The UK Switch and Maestro CC module (I am in the U.K)

- Fixed Width Site With CSS.zip (centres the site)

- No account sign up FEC3.2(means customers get a much quicker checkout process if they want)

- Extra Images (extra_images_with_admin1_3.zip) There are quite a few of those this was just the one i randomly chose and it gives me three images per product.

I noticed you have used Contact_Us_ver1 what does that do?

Thanks

Dave
