Guest Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 Hi I have my Store up and running nicely on one server (www.mk34.com) and had this other Domain Name Spare which wasn't doing much for me. So I copied my whole Site including Backup DB onto another Server, and everything works fine. Was just wondering if if would be possible to 'connect'my second Site to my first Server DB, so as to cut down on work if Product PRices etc change. I do not mind having to work a little bit on Layout on 2 Sites but to input for example twice (in 2 different DB's) Product Attributes is a lot of work.and it would be easier if i could just add new Products etc into one DB and let both Sites updated from there Is it possible? I tried to change the DB Setting to my old primary Site but that does not work Anything else what might need to be done? kgt Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 As long as site 2 has access to the database server for site 1, all you need to do is configure them to use the same database.
