Guest Posted August 1, 2006 Share Posted August 1, 2006 Hey gang, Well, i have the easy populate in, but someone told me i can NOT use the .txt export from EasyPopulate to mass import NEW products? As you know its the tabbed .txt, but i can not see fields for product numbers? Thank you very much for reading, - Suzz & Co ^^ Edit: Another scary thought here is that i have identical products in DIFFERENT categories. Gil_e_n Posted August 1, 2006 Share Posted August 1, 2006 Yes, you can use Easypopulate to mass import new products. You don't enter the product numbers, Easypopulate generates them automatically. And EP needs every product to have a different model number. If the same products in different categories have the same model number, you might have problems. I'm sure someone else has run into this before, though, so I suggest you search the forums for the solution. Always BACK UP your files and your database before making any changes.
