Question re. wholesale login, receipts

I am thinking about using oscommerce, but have a few questions first. I have been using optioncart with Mals-eccommerce, but need something a bit different.

 

1.) I am going to sell wholesale only, and I only want approved customers to be able to log in and view prices. The general public should be able to see the products, just no prices. Can oscommerce do this? And is it secure?

 

2.) Is it possible to print receipts?

 

3.) Is it possible to charge tax to only some customers (eg within Australia)?

 

4.) Is it possible to have a different front page (index) to the catalog pages?

 

5.) Lastly, where do I download oscommerce? I cannot seem to find this anywhere!

 

[edit]oh, and also - is there any sort of inventory control? Thanks.

Ok, I have found the answers to some questions, but now i have new ones :rolleyes:

 

1.) What is the system for email receipts? I'v ebeen using mals-ecommerce, and once a customer places an order they are automatically sent an email invoice. Is this the same?

 

For anyone reading this down the track, I'll answer my original questions.

 

1.) I think there is an add-on that can achieve this.

 

2.) Not 100% sure about this one, but I think so. Are these customizable?

 

3.) Yes, can charge tax to just some 'zones'

 

4.) I think so.

 

5.) Ahh, duh, I didn't realise the downloads in the download section were for the full version, I thought they were just upgrades.

 

6.) Inventory control - yes, you put the number in that you have in stock..
