If anyone should ever need this information, I just stumbled on it, ftp the file your looking for, right click on your mouse, choose properties, and then make sure that "write" is not check marked. Thank you Peter for you most considerate help, I did a search, and I am quite aware I may not have used the correct terminology in my search, but the pages I found were not it...
