Guest
I am setting up an OSC store for my first time and need to know how, when, and where to upload my digital products for sale. I have started adding the products one by one into the categories, and see the prices and descriptions...but how does the user actually get the product? BuddahBoy
Greetings Mediajuggle This may be off topic for this thread but I've been wanting to ask you a question about your excellent site - - on the product page you have the whole album available by clicking on link OR a separate listing of songs below that can be chosen individually - my question is how to have that additional menu of individual items on the product page - can't seem to find a contribution and am probably not searching correctly. I don't have a music site but that functionality will serve me well in my products - could you please let me know how I can accomplish that? Or a heads up to some documentation? Thanks much - really like your site too Ron

rlwpub
someone has not been reading the documentation..... :-" http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/documentation and there's plenty of download info if you search the forums... In other words you don't have a clue how to do it or don't want to share! :) Try actually helping a new user by pointing them to the doc page that explains it or post the threads that explain it. If you don't know OR DON'T CARE TO HELP just keep your "someone has not" bull to your self. :) Re's Rob

Mediajuggle
In other words you don't have a clue how to do it or don't want to share! :) Evidently you haven't seen my site. If you would have, then you'd know that obviously I DO KNOW> Try actually helping a new user by pointing them to the doc page that explains it or post the threads that explain it. I helped him by pointing him toward the documentation where he could read up on the basics of OSC and find his own answer and if he still had any questions THEN post them. Doing the homework YOURSELF before posting would save a lot of time and redundant posts. I pointed him in the right direction as I'm not required to spoon feed anyone!! Hell, a lot of the times I'm at work and don't have the time to take someone to the EXACT PAGE they need to be on. But again, at least I pointed him in the right direction. Did you see anyone else answer his request? If you don't know OR DON'T CARE TO HELP just keep your "someone has not" bull to your self. :) Re's Rob I did help him and if you just replied to this post to speak on my post instead of "helping out", then you can keep YOUR comments to yourself because at least I contributed something. Your post on the other hand, no matter how many smiley faces you put behind it contributes absolutely NOTHING! So keep you bullshit opinions to yourself... and have a nice day  My Contribution Music Download Store Template http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4275
BuddahBoy
Try searching for the Master Products contribution. That's what I used. Thanks Mediajuggle - I'll have to look into it. I've looked at your site - I like it very much and have gotten some inspiration for new ideas. You've done some very nice things and I appreciate the look and functionability. The site I'm working on is not really a store - will be "selling" reservations for workshops; since there are different prices according to the type of accommodations desired I thought this would be a good way to go instead of what I started doing which is using attributes with the +$ and -$ choices - that may sound a bit convoluted, but . . . Anyway, thanks for the pointer - good luck and much success. Ron

Well, if I can get this to fly I'll be happy to let you know and would consider it a compliment to get your feedback. I'm having some trouble with getting a grip on MS1.1.5 and have read in your template thread and elsewhere that there is a version 2 of MS - is that correct? I also read that it isn't available but some are passing it out - correct as well? Also, is it MS2 that you used to get the look you have on your product pages? [buy full album - or choose . . . ] that is exactly what I need to get working on mine. Can I get MS2 from you? Thanks much for any assistance you can offer. Ron Hey Ron, The product pages on my site are actually custom mods of Master Products 1 with many of the features being made available in Master Products 2. I don't know for sure how many of the features from my site made it into Master Products 2 because I have had no reason to upgrade but I hear it was geared toward creating music stores. I was giving out Master Products 2 once it was removed from the forums, but I was asked by the author not to give it out anymore... so I won't. What I can do is, if you PM me... I'll give you his contact info and you can reach out to him yourself..... Sorry to bug you on this old post, but are you indicating that Master Products 2 is no longer available? Any clue why? I'm curious. I think Master Products would help me as I begin offering MP3's in addition to CDs and Tapes. However, I want to make sure I have the best version. What should I look for? Thanks.
