Guest Posted July 28, 2006 Share Posted July 28, 2006 Hi just a quick question. Am building a mp3 based website at the moment for bands on out record label to be able to sell digital downloads. That side of things is fine works well, however we want to improve the customer experience by offering more than a shop. There will be forums et which one again have been built - the area we need help on is adding profiles of bands so people can find out more info on the artist, the idea we had was rather than building a whole profile section on our side why not have it so when you type on a band name it will take you to the bands myspace page as everyone seems t use it these days, The bands will be added as manufacturers, after all they are making the songs, there will be a few lanuage edits tho to make it read bands and not manufacturers on the site. We are currently stuck tho working out how to link to the manfactures page, i know you can have a feature on a product where you can click a link to find out more info on a product and be re-directed to another website, is there a similar one for mans, can you click on the name of the person whom makes a item and be taken to their website? kgt Posted July 28, 2006 Share Posted July 28, 2006 When you are viewing a product, the manufacturer information (including the URL you can provide when creating that manufacturer) is displayed in the right hand column.
