OsC Newbie - Rewrapping and existing site

I am redesigning a site for a client, which currently uses OsCommerce. They want to add some features like instant cart view, etc. which I can figure out through contributions and the config file, no big deal there. But, we'll also be unwrapping the existing site and rewrapping it with mulitple templates.

 

First question - is it possible to utilize multiple templates for different modules (ie: one for products, one for reviews?)

 

2nd question - do I need to do everything just within the header and footer files to change/rewrap oscommerce?

 

If there is a FAQ that might help with this, please provide the uRL. Most of what I was reading was db related, which we're good on.
