trying to make attribute sets plus work on test install

When I attempt to updat an attribut set in the oscommerce admin console, I am asked for a "Name For This Set:" I have tried to enter many different things and all give me the following error message :

Attribute Sets changes were saved.1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

 

select products_id from products_attributes_sets_to_products where products_attributes_sets_id=

I am really trying to make this work as I desperately need it. I have a tshirt store and have entered millions of individual product attributes over the years.

 

Please help me.

 

Also, what is the best way to run the sql commands. can't I just copy the text to the end of the stores mysql_catalog.sql file ???
