nicked30 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I am developing a store for a motor factor selling performance car parts which could provide difficult and i'm looking for your advice as to which solution would be best. If you can imagine that we want to sell brake pads - more than one manufacturer, Freodo and Mintex. Now for each set of brake pads there could be the following options: 1. Front or rear 2. Manufacturer of car (e.g. Ford) 3. Model of car (e.g. Focus) 4. Engine size of car (e.g. 1.8) So all in all when purchasing a set of brake pads there are a total of 5 options the user will have to choose to decide which brake pads will fit their car. I have used a combination of sub categories and product attributes, perhaps you could take a look and let me know: www.apswperformance.co.uk. The easiest option would be to list each type of brake pad as a product (e.g. Mintex F series brake pads) then have a series of mulitple linked attributes which the user could select. E.g. the product of Mintex F series brake pads is selected and user chooses FORD, this selection then triggers the population of another box with all possible ford models available, Focus is chosen and another, final box is populated with the engine sizes. Does something like this exist?
