patator
Hello I'm looking for some help to start my project or eventually a skilled developer who could help me. My golf website : Clubfitting.net Context : A golf club is composed of 3 elements: 1 head 1 shaft 1 grip My website is set up with various sections: Complete clubs Heads Shafts Grips I create all products on the website using Easy Populate First, I create all components (shafts, grips heads) as individual items. Then, I create "complete clubs" which are the combination of individual components (head, shaft, grip) Each "full club" is available with grips and shaft options. So I have to create new attributes and then link them to each of my "complete clubs". You can imagine the nightmare when it comes to price update?for 1 grip price change in the catalog, I have to go in each option (linked to each complete club) and change the price. I don't even mention product deletion in the catalogue :) Here is an example, with options at the bottom: Complete Club Question 1-On the front office : I would like a solution which would look like: PC Creator So, options could be automatically selected from a filtered list of products existing in the catalogue (and not added manually on the administration side). Option Prices would be automatically calculated: Ex -> cost of the grip option = (cost of the grip on the catalog ? cost of the grip selected by default for the complete club) The user could also click on "info" to consult details of the option within a popup. Then, I won't have to create all these infos in Easy Populate (list of options + hyperlinks) 2-Administration side The idea is to create a new process for adding full clubs: -> a new full club addition will always start with a selection of head (=name of the product, same pictures used than for the single head?) then shaft and grip. One will have to indicate the number of "full clubs" for each product added (ex : 1 club for one new driver, 7 or 8 clubs for a set of irons) No individual price will have to be filled in as they already exist in the database for each of the 3 elements (grip, shaft, head). -> one could also indicate a choice of options for each club based on a pre-filtered list of products (grips or shafts) existing on the website (using tick boxes) In case of price amendment, the calculation would be done dynamically and automatically. I've been working on Oscommerce for 18 months and wrote some scripts; nevertheless I believe this project is too difficult for me. So, I would need some help, either to give me some ideas of feasibility, indicate a contribution which could help me or the name of a very skilled freelancer. Thanks for reading this long post Patrice
