jpweber
If I'm correct (I very well may not be), to set up a Paypal payment system, you need to: 1) Purchase/install SSL 2) Enable Paypal in your Admin/Payment Modules 3) Go to paypal.com and register for a business account. If that's it, why would I need to download the best paypal contribution and install that? jasonabc
Actually if you are just using PayPal you could dispense with the SSL as they handle credit card provessing n their site (not yours). There is a problem with the stock OSC PayPal module in that if a customer does not return to your site after paying on the PayPal site - the order is not logged in OSC. You therefore receive the funds - but have no idea what was ordered and paid for. You either need to specify the return address on the PayPal side to send users back to your site - or install the PayPal IPN module which takes care of this problem. jpweber
Got ya ... so the paypal_ipn is the module you want, and it's a necessary installation. Okay, I'll add that to my list of things-to-do. Thanks! Jack_mcs
The ssl is used for more than the payment module so you should have one.
