Hi

Please visit the following URL before you attempt to resolve my issue. This way you will see the problem for yourself:

http://shop.cs-o.co.uk/catalog/

I find that the page does not completely load, then (after about 10-15 secs) 'Problem Loading Page' (Latest Firefox)

1 Is the problem just with me?

2 What is causing this to happen? - it was working fine last week, and I've changed nothing

3 How on earth can I fix it?

Any help would be very gratefuly received.

I tried Firefox and IE and everything seams to load completly but IE is giving me an error

Syntax error on line 2

If I look at your source I don't see any </html> anywhere that's closing your page. I'm not expert an probably other will confirm that but I think that would be the problem cause on line 2 in the code is the <html> tag...

Are you in the UK or US please>

Who is your ISP?

When I open the page in IE, it just keeps reloading, and eventually gives me an error page.

I don't understand this one.

Can anyone who gets a chance please try this load and report what happens please?

This is the error page I eventually end up with:

The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

* The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few

moments.

* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network

connection.

* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure

that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Would someone else please try for me?

I can't work it out.

WhiteBlade,

The </html> tag isn't there, because the page never finishes loading!

dtjames,

I'm having the same problem. (Among others!)

In my case, my (dedicated) server had a problem with the mysql server. Wouldn't work at all. The boys in charge of managing the server installed updated versions of mysql and php. (4.1.19-standard and 4.4.2, respectively).

I had an existing osCommerce site, still in development, on that server. Since the problem with mysql, pages on that site won't load at all, before or after the software updates. (A site specifically to sell Silk Plant Cleaner.)

Using Fantastico, I have been able to install osCommerce for another site, but it doesn't work right. Among the problems I am experiencing is the inability of the page to load fully.

Like you, I am no expert with osCommerce. But due to my own recent problems, and considering your store was working without this issue last week, my suggestion is find out if there have been any software upgrades to your server by the host. If so, that may be the source of your problem.

An uneducated guess would be the code in application_bottom.php is not able to work with php as it is now configured on your server.

Good luck.

I have approached my hosts and they say nothiing has changed their end.

The page loads for some people, and I am reciving orders.

It just bugs me.

As I said, I have several problems, of which the page not loading completely is only one. However, if and when I find the answer, I'll post it for you here.

Has anyone else tried this page for me yet please?

Does it load for you (without crashing after 10-15 seconds)?

The problem lies with Dynamenu.

For some reason, it's not working on my site now.

dtjames,

Have you resolved your problem?

My trouble ticket with my host got lost, so I had to start a new one. They had the problem resolved in about 12 hours. I asked them what they did, and here is the reply:

... did rebuild apache/php though and it was fine. But it could have been a bad module in php or something.

I noticed that the version of PHP on my server was upgraded from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4

I don't know if this will help you, or anyone else for that matter, but I figured I should pass on what fixed my problem.

Good luck,

-Skittles
