Customer accounts - remove them now!

Hi all,

 

I've trawled through most of the forums and found a few answers. But I need a definitive one! I apologise in advance if my tired eyes have happened to miss a more than relevant post on this.

 

All I need is for my customers to be able to buy products without setting up an account. Is it possible to comment out a few sections to disable this feature or does the core process revolve around each user having a username and password. I am trying to avoid the creation of any usernames and passwords, ie each order is treated as if it is from a 'new' user.

There is a contribution that will add the option to purchase without account.

Thanks Oblongpeg. I had seen that page was hoping for a easier way round, but when I had a go it was actually pretty simple.

 

Managed to remove all instances of accounts too, as that contribution leaves the option of opening an account still there. But with a look around they can be removed quite easily.
