i forgot, which file is the "main" catalog page?

I cant remember what file had all that crap in there to start with as the main catalog page... under "welcome guest, you can login" sentance, i'd like to add a graphic, and right above the "newest products' box in the center.

do you want the graphic to only show when the welcome guest text shows?

 

if so..

you can do that in the language files where this text is located.

yes thats fine, i just want it on that main page - so is that includes/languages/english/ ? index?

this should be the easiest question out there LOL no one can answer me the file path/name of that file that on a fresh install you have to strip all of that 'garbage' from - in essence the "home page" ?
