glennk Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 I'm new to Oscommerce and it was recommended from my ISP as a shopping cart solution. After downloading it and unzipping it I tried to upload it to my site. I believe my issues are with Binary and ASCI formats. I tried getting all the PHP files uploaded as ASCI then do the rest as Binary. Things just don?t seem to be working correctly. I tried two different ?free? FTP programs ? Filezilla and Smart FTP Client 2.0. It seems the FTP would time out, but didn?t give an error. Or it would just stop transferring. This happened with both programs. I?m thinking it is the ISP (Dotster), just not sure. Does the ?Auto? setting work when FTP?ing ? This really seems like a cool program and there is definitely going to be a learning curve on my side. I?m sure I?m doing something wrong. I?m going to try and get the time tonight to try and use Transmit FTP on my Mac to upload.
