index.php - correct code??

I think I have really screwed up here. I started working with index.php in the admin/includes/languages/english dir to start changing the original display. Unfortunately when I edited, saved and uploaded it saved to the index.php in the catalog dir. I then got errors with catalog/index.php and decided to start fresh. I copied the text from index.php in the english dir to the index.php in the admin dir, thinking the code was the same.

Hence my code in the catalog.index.php looks like...

But now Im getting an error

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tep_image() in /mnt/w0511/d39/s22/a0008a62/www/catalog/index.php on line 13

which is weird because if it indeed is the same code, then I never got this error before....

There are at least 4 index.php files that I can think of in the stock osC code. None of them are the same.

Try starting fresh again. The one you posted looks like the catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php

is there any way you can get hold of the original index.php (or even a template for that matter that I can work with) so that I can edit this file, upload and not have any errors.

The best thing to do would be to download the osC files here

http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/downloads

And copy those index.php files over to yours.

Then keep a copy each time you edit, so you can always fall back on the backup copies.
