Hi

A small web host provider here.

Need to install OsCommerce 2.2 Milestone 2 Update 051113 on a shared Fedora 5 box here.

Found needed variables & added to .htaccess

php_value error_reporting "E_ALL & ~E_STRICT"

php_value register_globals on

php_value register_long_arrays on

php_value register_argc_argv on

php_value zend.ze1_compatibility_mode on

Created database & user & password.

Run http://www.xxxxxxxxxxxx.com/oscommerce/catalog/install/

Enter info for server name, and DB info.

And Install hangs with a partial header and a blank page.

Select to not import the database to get through the install.

When you get to the installation complete page, open another browser window or tab and access PHPMyAdmin. Select the database, the SQL tab, and upload the install/oscommerce.sql file to import the database.

Once the database has been imported, go back to the installation complete page and click on the Admin and setup your store.
