Don't want the template!

I somehow inadvertently downloaded a template that has changed my Catagories box to the catagories box of a different site. Somehow the two sites are linked via a template, according to support from my server, and they recommend that I get rid of the template. The problem is that I don't remember requesting a template and I don't know how to get rid of it. I have checked with my servers cPanel, the Admin section and in the code and cannot find any reference about a template. Also, I have done a complete restore from a backup over a week ago and still nothing happened.

Also since the problem started, I am unable to load my logo. just get that bad red X error. I have reloaded the image and even changed the name of the image file and in the code. Nothing seems to work.

I hope that someone can give me some advice. I am thinking that I might just have to get a different domain name to remedy the situation but I definitely don't want to do that. This is My Webpage

HOPE SOMEONE HAS SOME GOOD IDEAS!

Thanks

It has nothing to do with a template. Your host is grasping.

It's your cache directory. Create a new folder for your cache and call it something original(fuzzypeach would be fine I'm sure!). Then go to your osc admin panel, choose configuration>cache and direct your files to the new cache directory. Now your shop will pull cached files from only YOUR folder and not the other guy's folder on the shared server who also has osc installed and is running with the same cache filename(tmp).

ok, well I just had a brainstorm over dinner. I checked to see what catalog items came up consistantly with the other sites catalog menu box. There was a pattern. So I changed the names of the menu items and deleted the old menu items. Viola! Those new menu items do NOT send my catagories box to be filled with the other sites items.

BUT if I hit TOP or CATALOG on the header bar, I get the menu box of the other site:( How can I change the the defines and names displayed?

Thanks Sheri: That makes alot of sense. Now I have been looking for the Cache folder but the only Cache anything I can find anywhere is the cache.php . Is that what you mean I should rename?

If not where should I create the Cache Folder?

Thank you Sheri. If you were here right now I would give you a BIIIIIIG hug:D:D I have been working on this for just about 2 days. and YOU fixed it for me. :D By the way, I didn't have a Cache directory :o Don't know what happened to it, so I just created one as you said and it worked fine.

Now, the only problem is that my logo does not display since this trouble started. I have tried to rename both file and requests in the coding for it. Uploaded it a number of times. Just don't know what to do anymore. Any suggestions for that?

Hehe, your welcome. I had the same problems in the beginning. Went to your site but you have changed it to the default image right now. Was hoping to right click to see if a 404 came up.

Don't know why you wouldn't have a cache folder

Well, I replaced some original code for worked on code in the headers.php file. Lines 54 to 67 inclusive. That is why you saw the osCommerce logo

but when I changed the picture file name to mine, it came back an error again. Please check it out if you can . Hope that you have some ideas. Its getting late and my brain is getting tired lol thanks

I looked at your code and can see nothing wrong. It is a strange problem that I have never come across. Because you had issues of data sharing with another site on your server I would try to change your images folder to another name. Then make sure that you update your configure files to point to the new name.

I have never seen a right click on an image that pulls up the address as the image.
