Ch3W Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Hi all, We recently installed Ultimate SEO and it seems to be working great, however the category URL's linked from the main index.php still contain unfriendly URL's. For example: http://www.hookahshop.co.uk/hookah-shisha-...b9c0f813c67b452 http://www.hookahshop.co.uk/accessories-sp...b9c0f813c67b452 http://www.hookahshop.co.uk/beginners-kits...b9c0f813c67b452 etc etc etc. This only occurs during the first visit of the page. Once one of these links are visited, the problem then goes away. Is this normal? We are also experiencing a fault with orders not logging in the database after installing Ultimate SEO, but have not yet determined if the fault is related to this contribution. Any help? Thanks in advance. Quote -=[Ch3W]=-
choosealogin Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 (edited) The seo url contribution does not get rid of the oscid. It is behaving normally. The stock Paypal module is known for not logging orders in the db, although I don't know if that's what's happening in your store. Downloading and installing Paypal IPN helps if that's the case. Thanks for that. We are using NOCHEX, and I have just attempted to make purchases with multiple different browsers, yet it's not working. Perhaps the notification URL (the url to provide to the merchants) needs to be different after installing Ultimate SEO? Just to clarify, we are usining Ultimate SEO 2.2 http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2823 Quote -=[Ch3W]=-
choosealogin Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 I'm not familiar with nochex, but you might want to look at this if you haven't already http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...l/search,nochex Since ultimate seo contribution doesn't change the checkout page urls, then I can't think of how it relates. Thanks, but we've been using this module successfully for 6 months now. It was only after installing Ultimate SEO that orders stopped logging in the database. Strange. I may have to roll back the installation :( Quote -=[Ch3W]=-

Ch3W Posted July 10, 2006 Author Posted July 10, 2006 Make sure that persistent connections are not enabled (includes/configure.php) That seems to have worked! Thanks mate! Not sure how Ultimate SEO would have effected this though. Strange. Thanks again! Quote -=[Ch3W]=-
