crowchick Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Here is my site's shop. I sell three kinds of things: Comics Buttons Stickers Here is how I want them to ship: The comics ship for $3, plus an additional $1 for each comic after the first, regardless of title. (i.e. $2 handling + $1 shipping on each book) The buttons ship for $2, no matter how many you order. The stickers ship for $1 no matter how many you order. If you buy stickers or buttons with a comic, the shipping is included in the shipping of the comic because the stickers and buttons add virtually no weight. Is there any solution for this sort of shipping arrangement? I was faking it with wieghts and zones, but my stock has grown increasingly more complex, and now shipping is getting hard to calculate for some orders. Quote
Guest Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 i've been looking for something similar, hopefully if there's currently a contribution for it; someone in the know can inform us! :) Quote
crowitis Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I'm new to osCommerce and have the same problem. I'm looking and searching for hours now but I cannot find a solution. If someone knows, please let me know. Thanks in advance. Quote
choosealogin Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 You might look at this... http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...ping+categories I haven't used it but it might help you. Be careful, as it's one of those contributions where nearly everyone has made some sort of "helpful" push in one direction or another...it looks like the second entry by thunderace might be a good one. In this case instead of modifying all products for different shipping you could group them by categories/products/zones and then apply the function to your various shipping modules. http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,4416 Quote
