kinethic Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Good morning. I'm aware of the advantages about using a SSL in a web site. Nonetheless, can osCommerce 2.2ms2-051113 work in a web site without a SSL? If so, is there any advice or any contribution that you recommend regarding this topic? I'll appreciate all the attention that you can give to my request. Best regards. Kinethic.
Jack_mcs Posted July 9, 2006 Posted July 9, 2006 Yes, it can work without SSL. I don't understand what you mean about the contribution though. The ssl certificate is an external file that doesn't come with oscommerce so there is no contribution that deals with it. Jack Dear Jack, I thought that I would read "yes, it can work without SSL but it is necessary to install 'x' contrib to make it work out" or something. Then, I guess the first installation is enough to configure the oscommerce to work with or without SSL. Thank you for your response. Kinethic.

To have osC work without a ssl cert you just need to have ssl set to false in your two configure.php files The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
