Issues with customer login/off

Hi All,

I am having an issue with customer login/off.

 

When I enter my site it says "welcome Jim" or whoever was on my site last. Other customers have said that they had similar issues.

 

Any fixes? something simple would be great.....as I am not a guru :)

its probably the cookie of your browser which keeps the info. If you think that is a problem you could block all cookies with your browser and retry. You should see the welcome guest message in that case.

but why would it "throw" cookies from other users?

 

I see other people's carts....etc

is there anything I need to change in the "sessions" section? I have almost everything "stock" on the site....all my sessions codes are set to false.

i am assuming you or useing xp

 

so...

 

start --> run --> type 'command' --> hit enter --> black screen pops up and type 'ipconfig /flushdns' --> hit enter and go back to your cart online

make sure your osc admin->configuration->sessions->Prevent Spider Sessions is set to true.

should I change any of the other "sessions" to true? I don't want to have problems with other browser users ie: AOL etc.

Recreate session was set to true, might that be the problem?
